Who is your teacher?
My name is Katie Williamson. I am originally from Louisiana. I have lived all over the world including Washington D.C., Charleston, Spain, Perú and most recently México. Now I call the woods of Middle Tennesse my home.
I am a student of life. I grew up in suburbia not learning many basic human skills. I am grateful for where I came from and I am also so grateful that as an adult that I continue to learn a little bit more each day about what it means to be a human on this beautiful Earth that we all share.
I did an herbal apprenticeship with Susun Weed up in the woods of New York in 2020. I studied to be a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner back in 2015. I have worked for the Weston A. Price Foundation and am incredibly grateful to Dr. Price´s book "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration" for changing my life and entire existence; ancestral food ways and medicine making is part of my path in large part thanks for Dr. Price´s inspiration. I am also a certified Sivananda yoga teacher. I have a YouTube channel in Spanish called Yo Soy Fermentista that teaches people all over the world about fermentation and herbalism. We are now a community of over 500,000 people who are learning the art of the kitchen and food transformation. I am so grateful to my teachers - past, present and future - who have helped me arrive to this place in the infinite spiral path that is life.
In love and gratitude.
¡Por la vida!
Katie (¡Katita is also my name!)
